There's so much going on this Bank Holiday I thought I would narrow it down to my top ten. In no particular order.....

1)Notting Hill Carnival, Sunday 26th - Monday 27th

Rio visits London and illuminates Notting Hill for a two day extravaganza with this vibrant, diverse and slightly mental festival! Europe’s biggest street party is a vivid spectacle of sequin bikinis, feather manes, sumptuous food and fantastic live music. The buzzing atmosphere is assisted by the huge  soundsystems blasting out a colourful assortment of Caribbean sounds – from reggae and salsa to dub and grime. Don’t forget to line your stomachs with the authentic street-food treats such as jerk chicken. Calypso Calypso!

If you want to make the most of Notting Hill afterwards, I suggest a pit-stop to the small but lively Portobello Star for a refreshing ‘Sally Cinamon’ cocktail, or if your hungry after dancing the day away stop off at the E and O Asian restaurant for some impressive Dim Sum.

2) Leanord Street Party @ Shoreditch, Sunday 26th, 12pm- 8pm
The Book Club is bringing back it’s annual street party. There’s Pimms flowing, balloons, dressing up, and an eclectic lineup of music and street entertainment.

3) Krankbrother Carnival Loft Party @ Loft Studios, Scrubs Lane, 7pm - 5am
A ten minute walk from the Notting Hill Carnival, this music marathon offers amazing house djs and an American BBQ on the terrace. The ticket is on the pricey side but it wins points for food and convenience, and it could well be the ultimate carnival after party with London’s best warehouse space and Anja Schneider’s deep house sounds.
Tickets £25

4) Oscillate Wildly & Louche @ Corsica Studios, Elephant & Castle, Saturday 25th, 10pm-6am
One of my favourite clubs in London, this place has unpretentious vibe, cheap drinks and a fine selection of House djs. Good one if your on a budget!

This fun night offers music from Funk, Disco, Soul, Reggae and yes- garage! I want to go just to try the Peanut Butter and Jelly shake!

7) Secretsundaze Go Bang @ The RoundHouse + Proud Camden, Sunday 26th, 12pm-4am
If your after cutting edge electronic music with a unique venue, this is the one. Head north for an all-day-into-night mini festival that takes place in two locations across the effortlessly cool and eccentric Camden. The party begins at the grandiose Roundhouse then rolls on down the road for an after-after party at the notorious converted stables, Proud Galleries. I have always loved Proud Galleries for its surreal décor and buzzing atmosphere and with the impressive line up and excessive fairy lights, this would be my top choice.
Tickets £12.50+

8) Creche - The Summer Big One (Outdoor Day & Indoor Night) @TBA, Sunday 26th, 1pm-4am

For the hardcore this is an all-day-all-night party which holds a superior line up of House and Techno djs such as Julio Bashmore and Alexis Rapheal.
