I present to you the Spanish artist Santiago Ydanez. His art is breathtaking but what is the
most intriguing is the size of his creations. Ydanez
works on 200cm canvases along with minimalist colouring. The detailing on these canvases with big and non-detailed brush strokes makes it more eye catching.
Not only that, Santiago states, he completes a painting on the big canvases in
2 or 3 hours. Incredible!!!
The subtleness of the colours used
gives a sense of comfort, even though some of his paintings can be a little
theatrical, and of course his animal portraits are best.
