One word that describes you?
In your own words, what do you do?
Make crazy beautiful, sparkling objects to adorn and compliment.
Who is your greatest influence in your career/life?
My sister Rebecca, as she has an incredible creative talent. She produces the most beautiful and theatrical things, whether it’s through architecture, event design, interiors, or styling photoshoots. I’ve always looked up to her, and she is probably the only person I really trust in terms of design and style.
Which is your favourite part of your job?
Waking up every day knowing that I’m doing something I’m obsessed and in love with.
Which is the part that you enjoy the least?
Seeing other designers with similar designs.
What is your greatest achievement?
Having the guts to start my own company
What was your Plan B?
To create a line of nightwear and accessories.
What is your most prized possession?
My Pomeranian Mungle Weasel! And my Monkey candelabra.
What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
Just do it.
Please complete the sentence… I could not live without…..
Being able to retreat back to New Zealand, and all my animals.
Favourite restaurant? In which city?
It’s called Everybodys in Auckland, New Zealand and is set in a Victorian building over four floors. What drew me to it was the relaxed but fun atmosphere, open-aired courtyard, big open spaces and the food is the best of kiwi cuisine!
What is your personal luxury?
Since we spend half of our lives sleeping and a bed takes up a lot of visual space, my bed linen has to look cool, and be super comfortable and cosy. Sleeping is a luxury, therefore my bed needs to be luxurious! I just invested in pink and white striped Ralph Lauren
sheets with lots of pillows which I love! I would never wear a party dress which looks cheap, so designer cocktail dresses are another luxury I invest in…
What steps do you take to make your life more positive?
I like surrounding myself with optimistic and bubbly people, which is what makes my life a happy and positive one. I love discovering new inspirations for my designs. The most positive part of my life is to see my creations being realised and transformed into fabulous and luxurious pieces of jewellery. It’s every girls dream.
